September 11th, 2001 Memory Activity
Your job today is to better understand how we remember September 11th, 2015 by experiencing memorials that have been created since the day. There are 3 links below that will show you various memorials that have been created. It is important that you at least visit all of them for a time. I would like you to focus on the National 9/11 Memorial in New York. But please visit and explore the other sites as well. This is an independent activity, however, we will discuss what you found at the end of the hour.
Your Assignment:
I would like you to answer the question below within Google Slides or Google Docs. You should provide 3 examples of a symbolism within memorials and describe what that symbol means to Americans, survivors, their families and you. Provide a picture of that symbol and a short description of 2-3 sentences. Please raise your hand with any questions!
Question:
Please share your work with me when you are done. [email protected] |
Please make sure you view "Lady Liberty" and the "Interactive Timeline" under the Teach and Learn tab.

Remind 101In an effort to increase student accountability, Mrs. Piggott created a Remind 101 account, a system that allows students and parents to receive a text or email reminding them of what is due. Students may either sign-up online by pressing the button below, or follow the directions from the PDF to the right.
